As per the official notification of UPSC there are total 979 posts reserved for all the candidates. Out of which 38 vacancies are reserved for the Persons with Benchmark Disability. And the 941 vacancies are reserved for candidates belongs to ST, SC, OBC, EWS, candidates. Apart from this 150 vacancies are also reserved for Indian Forest Service.

Eligibility Criteria Set by Union Public Service Commission

To apply for the UPSC Recruitment 2025 candidates need to satisfy the eligibilities set by the government which are listed below:-

Nationality:-

  • One must have the citizenship of India, Nepal, Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962, etc.

Qualification:-

  • Applicants must have minimum qualification as a Graduate degree from authorized university.

Age Limit:-

  • One must owns the age between 21 to 32 years as on 1st of August, 2025.

How Many Attempts are Allowed for UPSC Examination?

Candidates having the doubt regarding number of attempts allowed for the UPSC Examination are cleared that every candidates appearing at the examination and are otherwise eligible are permitted six (6) attempts at the CSE. Whereas candidates belongs to SC /ST  categories are given unlimited chance and candidates from OBC and PwBD (GL/EWS/OBC) are given 9 attempts.

UPSC Online Registration (One Time Registration):-

  • Visit the official website of UPSC which is https://upsconline.gov.in/.
  • After that a home page of the website open.
  • Now look for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2025 and click on the Apply Online link.
  • Then a registration page open in front of you.
  • Click on the New Registration for the freshers and candidates who have already registered enter the registration details.
  • Enter all the details carefully as asked.
  • Click on the Submit option
  • Create the Registration Number and Password after verification process.

Login:-

  • Enter the login details Registration Number and Password.

Verification:-
