UGC NET June 2025 Eligibility

Applicants with Master’s degree (or equivalent) are eligible to apply for UGC NET. For general, unreserved, general EWS category students have minimum 55% in master degree whereas OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, Third Gender  category students need minimum 50% in master degree. Students enroll in final year of PG Degree, can apply provisionally but must complete Master’s degree with required marks within 1-2 years to qualify for JRF/Ph.D. or Assistant Professor. Foreign degrees/diplomas must verify for equivalence with Indian Master’s degrees through AIU or Bar Council of India.
