Domicile

  • There are no restrictions based on state or domicile as it a national level examination.  Candidates from any part of India can apply.

Age Limit

Education Criteria

  • Candidates must fulfill the educational norms as per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Here are is simple and easy way to understand CTET 2025 Paper 1 & 2 Eligibility.
    • For Classes 1 to 5 (Paper-I)  –  Applicant must have passed 12th (Senior Secondary) with at least 50% marks and completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or equivalent. Aspirants holding 12th class with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed or 2-year D.Ed (Special Education) are also eligible.
    • For Classes 6 to 8 (Paper-II) – Aspirants Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Or, Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. Or, Graduation with 45% marks and B.Ed under NCTE norms. Or, 12th with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed/B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Note – Final-year students of teacher training courses can also apply provisionally.

CTET Application Fee 2025

On the base of category of applicant and number of papers applying, the CTET Registration Fee is set by officials. As per CTET Notification, for General and OBC (NCL) candidates, the fee is Rs. 1000 for only Paper I or Paper- I, if applying for both papers than fees is Rs. 1200. For SC, ST, and differently-abled applicants, the fee is Rs. 500 for single paper whereas it is Rs. 600 for both.
