CSIR NET Application Form 2025

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) is held by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This online exam is conducted twice a year in June & December. Those who qualify for CSIR NET get selected for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor posts, and Ph.D. admissions across Indian universities and colleges. All the aspirants who holds Master’s degree (M.Sc.), B.Tech, BS-MS, BS (4 years), or B.Sc. (Hons.) are eligible to apply, with an upper age limit of 28 years for JRF aspirants (with age relaxations), while there is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor or Ph.D. admissions. CSIR NET 2025 Eligibility

Who can Apply for CSIR NET? or Are you eligible for CSIR NET? well, all the applicants who fall under the eligibility criteria given below can fill out application form.

• Both Indian and foreign nationals applicants can apply for CSIR NET.
• Applicant must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject from a recognized university.
• Individuals from unreserved category should score minimum 55% marks in the master’s degree whereas SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Divyangjan candidates have to score 50% as minimum marks.
• Age Limit For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is under 28 years. No age limit for Lectureship (LS) and PhD Admission. Age relaxation is also applicable for reserve categories.

Application Fee

While filling the application form of CSIR UGC NET June 2025, candidates need to pay form fee. This fee is based on caste category. The below table clear all the fee as per caste category.

Applicants can pay the application fee through Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, and Internet Banking of SBI/ICICI.

How to Fill CSIR NET 2025 Application Form?

• Visit the official https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/ website.
• Click on “Joint UGC CSIR NET June 2025” from home page.
• This will redirect you Registration Website of CSIR NET 2025.
• Use a unique Email ID and Mobile Number to create a new account.
• Generate your Login ID and make Login.
• After Login, click on apply online link and application form will open.
• Enter all the personal, educational, etc. details. Now system-generated Application Number.
• Upload documents like
  • A color or black-and-white photo (size 10KB – 200KB) with white background and clear visibility.
  • A scanned signature (size 4KB – 30KB).
  • Education Certificate in PDF format.
  • Category Certificate in PDF file (size 50KB – 300KB), if applicable.
  • PwD Certificate in PDF file (size 50KB – 300KB), if applicable.
• Choose your prefer exam centre, subject, and mode of examination.
• Make the payment using online methods such as Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
• Recheck all the information and click on Submit.
• One must download and print application form and fee payment receipt for further use.

CSIR NET 2025 Exam Date 

As we clear above that the CSIR NET is exam for selection of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Lectureship (LS), and Admission to PhD programs. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct this exam in Computer Based Test (CBT). This exam is held in twice in year June and December. As per reports, the CSIR NET Exam Date is June 2025.
